The day's events began with a public awareness drive in the McLeod Ganj market, followed by an afternoon outreach initiative targeting the large crowds of Indian tourists visiting the town for the ongoing IPL tournament. The commemoration concluded in the evening at Upper TCV School, featuring a documentary screening for students and a presentation by former political prisoner Ngangwang Woebar on the harsh realities faced by political prisoners inside Tibet.
