During the demonstrations, a young Tibetan protester named Tenzin Dickyi spoke to Tibet Radio, emphasizing that the ultimate defense against Beijing's assimilation policies lies within the exile community itself. Dickyi stated that the most powerful form of protest is a proactive commitment to heritage, urging Tibetans in exile to redouble their efforts in learning the Tibetan language and preserving their distinct culture.
