HIS HOLINESS THE DALAI LAMA DISCHARGED AFTER SUCCESSFUL KNEE SURGERY IN NEW DELHI

New Delhi, 12 June: His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama was discharged from Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi on Friday morning, 12 June, after successfully undergoing left knee replacement surgery on Monday, 8 June. According to Dr. Rajesh Malhotra, Senior Consultant at Apollo Hospitals, His Holiness remained stable throughout the treatment and is expected to make a full recovery. He said His Holiness’s personal medical team and the Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama were in close coordination with the administrative and medical staff at Apollo Hospitals during the treatment.
