(TibetanReview.net, Jun16’26) – Confucianism was violently suppressed during the Cultural Revolution (1966–1976), Mao Zedong viewed Confucian traditions as oppressive tools of feudalism that promoted strict obedience to authority and hindered the mass revolutions necessary for modern communism.
