About 3,000 Tibetans in exile joined a protest march in Dharamshala organized by six major Tibetan NGOs to honor Pawo Lobga Rangzen and oppose China’s Ethnic Unity and Progress Law. The march began at the Tsuglagkhang and ended at the Police Ground in lower Dharamshala. Organizers called on the United Nations and governments to recognize Rangzen’s sacrifice, address human rights conditions in Tibet, reject forced assimilation, and support Tibetans’ right to freedom. Tenzin Yingsel of the Tibetan Women’s Association said the rally urged the United Nations not to let his sacrifice go unseen.
