In the contest for the Speaker's post, Dolma Tsering secured 22 votes, narrowly defeating Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, who received 20 votes. Following the election of the speaker, parliamentarians voted for the deputy speaker position. Khenpo Sonam Tenphel won the post with 22 votes, while his opponent, Karma Gelek, received 20 votes. According to the election results, three ballots were declared invalid during the voting process.
