The petitioners, representing residents and several major monasteries from the Choejor area of Kathmandu (including Boudha and Jorpati), filed an urgent interim plea on Friday. They are demanding the immediate establishment of an independent investigative committee to look into Case No. 22, which addresses their exclusion from the electoral rolls. The legal challenge arrives as transitional proceedings for the 18th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile move forward, with the interim speaker scheduled to take the oath of office on Sunday, May 31.
